Pula is a city 3000 years old, rich in culture and surrounded with endless natural beauty.
Pula is best recognized by its amphitheater dating back to the first century. It is world’s sixth in size, known as Arena.
In addition to Arena, there are numerous preserved historic roman structures. There are about twenty fortress structures around the city built for the Austrian army in the 19th century, when Pula was the most important military port for the Hapsburg Monarchy.
Beautiful beaches with clear blue sea, a large number of sunny days, as well as numerous activities, are the reasons why Pula attracts such a large number of tourists in the summer.
The best known beaches in Pula are Gortanova Uvala on the Lungo Mare, Ambrela and Havajsko on Verudela, as well as Valkane.
